My journey
It started with curiosity in the 2020 lockdown. Everything after that came from solving my own problems and learning from my mistakes.
Curiosity in the lockdown
The 2020 lockdown gave me time and a question: how are websites actually made? School introduced me to web development, and I started tinkering on my own.
Building for myself and my family
I began making websites for myself, then for my family business, Silver Star and Bapu Garments. I built a lot of them, all free, because they solved real problems close to home and every one taught me something new.
Hosting was too expensive
Hosting and deploying even small sites cost more than a student could justify. That problem is what pushed me toward AWS, GCP and Azure, mainly through their free-credit programs.
Trying every cloud, one at a time
With the credits, I explored the three clouds one by one and tested everything I could. I learned by building real products. I hosted my own EC2 server and used it for different things: game servers, personal projects and more.
From servers to managed services
Over time I moved from virtual machines to static storage, Cloud Run, S3 and KMS, learning each service because a project of mine needed it.
AI, LLMs and big data
From 2023 I moved into Vertex AI and Claude, then LLM training and big data training, carrying the same habit: learn the tool by using it on a real problem.
Ahead of time, through mistakes
Because I learned from my own problems, mistakes and curiosity, I picked up skills earlier than most people expect to. That head start helped me do well in competitions and later led me to the CTO role at Rahtsaa AI.
